I was working on the series during the mercury retrograde in 2024, and we were also getting closer to the solar eclipse. It was a very interesting time working on these pieces, and there was an element of deep reflection occurring for me. I felt very in-tune with the magnetization between the solar system, larger bodies of water, and our questionably nine planets. The work was highly contemplative and translated onto the canvas quite rapidly once I had moved past some of the push-pull I was working through. Most certainly a cool time for me to express creatively, and despite some of the discomfort, felt grateful to have the experience. I hope you enjoy the work.
