AND/BOTH

And/Both is a show composed of two series “Agendas” and “Washed,”  and eighteen pieces in total, exploring the concepts of divergent perceptions and experiences holding truth, and challenging us as individuals to balance both harmoniously where possible.

Produced over a one year period, both series are visual representations of Lisa’s research around duality. Agenda’s explores perceptions of various Canadian landscapes, some including, political, social, psychological, environmental, spiritual, financial, and intellectual.

Washed is a personal statement and exploration of Lisa’s preliminary experiences reclaiming identity during travels to her Mother’s home country of Mexico. There is a curiosity in understanding your experiences with both bodies of work.

JACKED UP COFFEE

Lisa’s Jacked Up mural is a permanent, custom installation colouring the walls of Whitby cafe and roasting headquarters, Jacked Up Coffee.

With a passion for bringing art to her community, Lisa fused elements of the cafe’s atmosphere, including neighbourhood landmarks and the spirit of the local community, to create a staple piece that expresses the heart of the brand. Grab a coffee and take a moment to enjoy the art!
