Fruits and Labour was produced in 2022 during the pandemic, when food access and security as well as labour and production disruptions were heightened. Despite these challenges, communities got creative and found ways to collaborate. Food scraps were reused, victory and shared gardens sprung up and small and large scale farming operations continued to produce. These pieces are intended to illustrate the juxtaposition of balking and bounty during this period of time.
